Jul 27, 2010

BioIQ, a leading provider of health data management services and corporate wellness solutions, announced today that it has engaged a new Board of Directors to help guide the company through a critical period of rapid growth. The Board’s focus is on solidifying business development relationships and capitalizing on opportunities within the rapidly growing segment of IT-based preventive health care.

The board is chaired by Patrick F. Cua, who will leverage his twenty-four years of sales, corporate executive and business development experience in the health care industry to guide the company and scale BioIQ’s sales infrastructure.

“At-home health screening is rapidly emerging as one of the most effective and efficient barometers of a group’s overall health status,” said Mr. Cua. “Our focus going forward is on making BioIQ’s proven health-screening services available to employers, health plans and individuals nationwide, with the goal of lowering national healthcare costs and increasing the productivity of the U.S. workforce.”

Mr. Cua is joined by a talented, seasoned group of directors:

Jeffrey M. Closs, Co-founder, President & CEO of Benu Inc, will provide guidance to management while capitalizing on his understanding of the complexities of healthcare and his experience growing several health care companies from concept to exit.

Kathleen M. Shanahan, CEO & Chairman of WRS Compass, will provide guidance on executive issues and utilize a broad base of political and business contacts to produce and support important business-development initiatives.

As Vice President of Mansa Equity Partners, Inc. Jason P. Torres maintains an active role in the health care investment community and will continue to evaluate new channels and valuable partnerships for BioIQ.

As Co-founder and CEO, Justin Bellante rounds out the Board of Directors and executes the BioIQ business model.

“BioIQ is seeing rapid adoption by employers and health plans as the go-to solution for high engagement corporate wellness screening and data integration, and as the premium model for accessing an entire covered population, including remote employees and dependents,” said Ms. Shanahan. “I am pleased to be part of such a prestigious group of health care business leaders. Our minds are set in establishing BioIQ as the indispensable tool for data-driven preventive health care for the years to come.”
